The Old Quarter in Hanoi is undoubtedly the most bustling part of the city. If I had to compare it somewhere else it would be to China Town in Bangkok. It’s noisy, busy, motorbike clogged and there is always something happening, usually on the higher side of the decibel meter.  If you want to experience the quintessence of Hanoi this is the right place to start from .
